Zdravko Dafinov (1913-2008) was born in Vratsa. He studied philosophy at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ", but in 1938 he graduated from His Majesty's Military School. By 1946, he was a captain of the artillery. After the firing of the army as a "royal officer" in 1946, he graduated from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ". From 1949 until his retirement in 1978, he worked as a librarian at the University Library and Chief of Methodology at the National Library "St. St. Cyril and Methodius".
