Description

Interesting, intriguing and very honest is the confession in this book by political emigrant Nikola Gushlev, recorded on tape by Dr. Ivan Gadzhev on October 5, 1985 in Toronto, Canada.

With much pain, N. Gushlev tells of the contradictions in the Macedonian revolutionary organization as a result of the struggle of Dr. Ivan Mihaylov to master the leadership of IMRO (Inner Macedonian Revolutionary Organization). To save his life, advised personally by a gen. Protogerov, he went to Toronto, where he died at the age of 90.

Thanks to Dr. Ivan Gadzhev and his family, in 1976 he founded a Macedonian-Bulgarian scientific institute St. Kliment Ohridski".

In order to transfer the huge archive of books, photographs, archival materials collected by the Bulgarian emigration in Detroit, in the period 2000-2004, the Institute of History of Bulgarian Emigration in North America "Iliya Todorov Gadzhev" was built in Gotse Delchev.
