Vladimir Gadzhev

Vladimir Gadzhev (1944) is a prominent jazz critic, journalist and lecturer in history of jazz, pop and rock music at the Lyubomir Pipkov National Music School in Sofia. In 2000, the German publishing house Könemann and the Bulgarian "Kibea" spread its "Illustrated Encyclopedia of Musical Instruments all over the world" (artist Anton Radevski). In 2004, his book "A Love Supreme - Veselin Nikolov and his White, Green and Red" appeared. In 2010, he saw his capital work "Now's The Time. Jazz music in Bulgaria and the Bulgarians in jazz: 1911-1991 ". A year later, he offered readers his study, The Seven Delights of the Golden Orpheus. His book "When the West Meets the East: From Folk to Ethno Jazz and World Music" appeared quite recently.
