Victoria Platova

Victoria Platova

Victoria Platova was born on January 11, 1967, graduated from the State Higher Institute of Cinematography in Moscow (VGIK) and lives in St. Petersburg. With her first novel she managed to stand out among a few successful Russian writers of criminal novels (A. Marinina, T. Poliakova, T. Stepanova, D. Donzova, P. Dashkova, etc.). Her prose, defined as the best in this genre and read by even the most demanding readers (who in principle avoid criminal genre because of their low literary quality), continues the traditions of the classic detective novel - sharp and very interesting (and not just "entertaining ") plot; (even episodic figures, while others do not like the main characters), skilful skimming and open storylines, stimulating the reader's imagination, unraveling the intrigue in the last pages, magnificent style.
