Hristo Kardzhilov

Hristo Kardzhilov was born in 1952 in Sofia. He graduated from the National Academy of Art in 1978 with a specialty Illustration and layout of the book, until 1982 he worked mainly in this field. In 1978 he took part in the founding of the first Bulgarian comic magazine - "Rainbow". Since 1982 he has been working mainly in the field of graphics, watercolor and painting. He has participated in almost all editions of graphic biennials in the world and has received many awards from the most prestigious among them. Besides an artist, Hristo Kardzhilov is also a fiction writer - he is the author of two short stories collections and a novel.
