The second volume of the Almanac Dostoevsky: Thought and Image" not only continues the insightful interpretations of Dostoevsky's themes and characters but also projects a more distant and broader horizon to his creativity as a whole. The diversity and versatility of the approaches, presented in Almanac - literary, philosophical, artistic, psychoanalytic - correspond to Dostoevsky's multi-layered and vast spiritual depths. The name, goodness, beauty, death, freedom of will are some of the values and concepts that inhabit and revive these depths in separate but interrelated studies. The contrastive aspect in many of them creates around Dostoevsky's work an elaborate complex constellation of themes, ideas and authors (Tutchev, Miguel de Umanuño, Schmemann, Bernanos, Tolstoy, Bakhtin, Gachev), in the background of which his mental and sensual power has been outlined.
