Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitar J. Dimitrov is a lecturer in History of Byzantium and Medieval Balkan History at VTU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius "and author of three monographs - Pagans and Christians in the Fourth Century: Models of Behavior (2000); Philosophy, Culture and Politics in Late Antiquity (2005) and The Dark Ages of Byzantium (2005), and co-author the book Byzantium and the Byzantine World (2011), a truly wide-ranging panorama of Byzantine civilization.
