Description

The FBI holds a secret part of the legend's file

Millions of Lennon fans still wonder: Why, 30 years after his death, the most beloved Liverpool boy continues to threaten US national security?

Lennon arrived in the United States in 1970. In New York he befriends the leaders of the anti-war movement and declares himself against the Vietnam War. The legendary Beatles immediately became the subject of constant monitoring and wiretapping by the FBI. Increasing fear is experienced by both the US government and CIA. This build-up of paranoia and fear for control led to the eventual deportation notice sent to John Lennon's house, informing him that 'his temporary stay in the USA was now over'. The book debunks and exposes the somewhat bizarre behavior of the CIA and police department over John Lennon and other contemporary figures' behavior, referring also to different modern issues like drug abuse.

J. Edgar Hoover - the irreplaceable FBI chief, has been ambitious at all costs to destroy leftists and anti-war movements in the United States. In its fight against them, the Bureau of Investigation, including the use of illegal methods, characteristic of totalitarian regimes. Today, this American Stalinism seems paradoxical to us, but in the 1960s, America was experiencing a real political drama that led to a serious crisis of democracy in the most democratic country in the world. An important part of this drama is the murder of John Lennon.
