Plamen Pavlov (born in 1958) is a Bulgarian historian, poet and publicist. In 1982 he graduated Veliko Tarnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" and since 1984 he has been a professor of History of Byzantium and the Balkan countries in the period of IV - XV century at the University of Veliko Tarnovo.
