Venets Dimitrov was born on June 24, 1937 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He graduated from the Film and TV Cinematography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, Czechoslovakia (1968); he was studying also directing. He is a member of Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers.
