Vyara Al. Popova is a Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Culture, Aesthetics, Values at the Institute for Study of Societies and Knowledge of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS). Her research interests are in the field of Photography Theory and History, Cultural Studies, Aesthetics, Visual Studies and Philosophy of Literature.
