Valeri Lazarov

Major-General Assoc. Prof. Valeri Lazarov was born in 1954. He graduated from the Higher Military School "Vasil Levski", major in "Strategic Intelligence", Military Academy "G,S. Rakovski" and UNWE. The first Bulgarian officer, who graduated from the Greek General Staff Academy. He has specialized in Austria, England, Belgium, Luxembourg, USA. Doctor of Sciences in the specialty "Military Political Security Problems", Associate Professor of "Theory of Intelligence". Since 1976, he has served in strategic intelligence agencies, including overseas. In the period 2002-2006 he was Head of Intelligence Management of the General Staff. He speaks fluently English, Greek and Russian.
