Greco-Roman mythology is an integral part of the spiritual space of the enlightened European - from the Revival and Enlightenment to the present day. Contemporary European culture has embraced two colossal pillars: the Christian Bible and the achievements of the ancient spirit, an integral part of which (along with philosophy, theater, literary genres, Olympic Games, civil court, ideas for publicity, science) is mythology. The strange and unusual heroes with their incomprehensible passions, deeds and feats may seem to be the result of the unrestrained and perverse imagination of the ancient man, but in fact they are stories of sacral practices in a society of deep transition - from the matriarch of the ancient inhabitants of the Mediterranean region to the patriarchate of the newcomers of the Indo-European peoples and especially of the Greeks.
In this alphabetical order, the myths of more than 1300 gods and heroes of Antiquity are recreated. Their names are written in the original language (Greek or Latin). Here are the most important works of world art in which they have found their artistic creation. Their presence in our lands is also here.
All this makes the book not just one of the thousands of collections on the subject, but a unique booklet written specifically for the Bulgarian reader.
