Acad. Plamen Kartaloff Presents "Opera and Nature" in Veliko Tarnovo

The first two volumes of "OPERA and NATURE," showcasing a selection of inspiring opera spectacles by director Plamen Kartaloff, will be presented by the author himself at the Lapidarium of the Archaeological Museum in Veliko Tarnovo. The event is organized with the support of the Municipality and will take place on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 5:30 PM.

Volume 1 traces the development of the core idea behind the symbiosis between opera and nature, including photographs, professional reviews, and various other materials covering all productions presented across the following four locations: Tsarevets Hill, Alexander Battenberg Square, the park of the G. S. Rakovski Military Academy, and the square in front of the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

Volume 2 features the productions staged at: the Belogradchik Rocks, Magura Cave, the Danube riverfront promenade in Vidin, the Baba Vida Historical Fortress, Lake Pancharevo, the Roman Square at Nu Boyana Film Studios, and the Late Antiquity Fortress of Tsari Mali Grad.
