The concept described in the book is based on Carl Gustav Jung's theory of psychological types developed in the early twentieth century. It allows the mentality of any country to be represented not as a random accumulation of separate facts but as a harmonious system operating under clear laws and rules. The authors demonstrate this approach with the example of Russia.

The book is intended primarily for rational people who want to look at Russia and other countries from a new point of view, and to explain many of the national and cultural peculiarities of different peoples that previously seemed incomprehensible to them.
