Description

The book 25 Questions - Rumiana Taslakova's Inquiries" came out in 1996 in Free Poetic Society. My aim was to ask the same questions of prominent personalities in politics, economics, literature, painting, music, sports and technology, without giving them the opportunity to get acquainted with the themes of the questions. The idea of these inquiries came to me, reading the renowned German daily Allgemeine Zeitung, where the French writer Marcel Proust's questionnaire was published weekly with answers to German contemporaries. In the replicas, I discovered the unknown characteristics of the respondents, the spontaneous manifestations of feelings and priorities. These new nuances in the image of the people surveyed led me to the thought that it would be interesting for Bulgarian readers to recognize something new about the thoughts and positions, the dreams and the fears of Bulgarian public figures from that time. Using the brainstorming method of more than 130 topics, I selected 25 questions, which I formulated on the eve of a trip to Bulgaria. Because of the stress, I made one omission: the 5th and 21st questions were of the same content. I decided not to change the questionnaire and the first one who saw the repetition was Kiril Marichkov. Only a few of the respondents felt this repeat, and thus gained an even wider range of answers to the question, "What is the greatest happiness for you?"

In this book are published the answers of 110 famous Bulgarians.
