Petar Marinov

Petar Marinov has more than 20 years of experience in the security system and more than five years as a professor at the Military Academy "G. S. Rakovski" and a part-time lecturer at the South-West University "Neofit Rilski". The chance and the challenge to participate in missions of the Bulgarian Army in Iraq and Afghanistan awakens his interest not only of the manifestations of terrorism but also of the reasons for its emergence. Examines different aspects of unconventional threats and asymmetry in conducting operations. In 2010, he defended his dissertation, analyzing modern challenges and threats and defining the concepts of hybrid threat and hybrid operation.
