Lyubomir G. Kyumyurdzhiev was born in 1965 in Pleven. He graduated Bulgarian Philology at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ". He has worked as a teacher of Bulgarian language and literature, has been an editor, translator and consultant in several book publishing houses, including his favorite East-West, as well as in the editions of Tour.bg and Reader's Digest Bulgaria. Editor, journalist and author at National Geographic Bulgaria, winner of the Chernorizets Hrabar Award of the Union of Publishers in Bulgaria in the Culture and Lifestyle Division for 2011. A longtime researcher of the history and traditional culture of the North American Indians, Kyumyurdzhiev lived in Indian reserves in the US and Canada. He is the founder and chairman of the Bulgarian Society of Indigenism "Eagle Circle". He is also interested in European medieval history, as well as in the philosophy and traditions of the Far East. Kodokan-Judo and Guju-ryu karate-do instructor.
