Ljubiša Mitrović

Professor Emeritus Ljubiša R. Mitrović (1943) is a full-time professor of sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy at University of Niš, Republic of Serbia. He holds the Department of General Sociology, Head of Postgraduate Studies in Sociology of Public Development. He was a Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and a projector of University of Niš. Leader of the macro-project Culture of Peace, Identities and Interethnic Relations in Serbia and the Balkans in the Process of European Integration (2006-2010). Director of the Center for Balkan Studies in Niš. He has published over 400 scientific papers in the field of sociology in Serbian, Russian, German, French, English and Bulgarian.
