Ivan Kostov in State Security Documents

The "Ivan Kostov in State Security Documents" Collection (DOP "Dazzling") is the first of the new series "Documents of the Transition", which we are starting to publish. In this series you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with original documents from Bulgarian and foreign archives revealing unknown parts from the biographies of political figures as well as information about events related to the political and economic transition in the country. In the first volume of this series that you hold in your hands, the "Dazzling Office" (DOP) "Dazzling" case was published in full, which the Sixth Department of the UGS-MI-DS sent to Ivan Kostov in March 1983. At that time he was the Chief Assistant in Political Economy at the Center for Ideological Disciplines at the BMEI "VIN Lenin". The original documents in the collection are of clear origin - they are received by the Central Archives of the Commission on the dossiers. They are certified by the committee which excludes any speculation by unscrupulous people of their origin.
