The book "Poverty Management" presents Veronika Dimitrova's dissertation study. The focus is on healthcare and medicine techniques that aim at managing shared life and have effects on modernization. During the inter-war period, poverty seems to be a revolutionary threat. It is a political and epistemological problem - the question is not only how to be regulated, but in what terms it should be constructed. The decisions of this period are trying to answer the question - how to think about poverty so to be put as a subject of regulation and governance. Against the revolutionary environment, many discourses have been proclaimed - social policies, labor legislation, housing policies, etc. Hygiene and medicine are only part of them, but they take political questions into administrative and regulatory issues.
