Thracian Religion

The present monograph is an attempt to summarize the author's observations on the problems of the Thracian religion. The structure of the study consistently includes examining the essence of the Thracian’s immortality doctrine and the mechanism of its functioning. The ubiquitous figures of the Great Mother Goddess and the Supreme God (her son - Sun, and a husband at the same time), the king-priest / the king-god, the truest child of their sacred marriage, priests and priesthood colleges, and the reminiscences of the interactions of these personifications in the more recent times to the present. Written fascinatingly, this book will be interesting to most humanists and all the inquisitive minds, engrossed in antiquity.
