Georgi Kiryazov Rupchev was born on 02.09.1957 in Sofia. He graduated Bulgarian Philology at the Sofia University (1982). Associate of the Institute of Literature at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Translates from English, Russian and Hebrew. He is also the author of the poetic translation of Song of Solomon (1992). He is the author of many articles in the periodical press, participates in the series of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences "Periodicals and Literature". Winner of the National Prize for Student Poetry (1980, 1981, 1982), Dimcho Debelyanov (1980), South Spring (1983). In 1992 and 1994 he received the award of the Union of Translators and in 2001 Hristo G. Danov Award.
His poems are translated into English, French, Spanish, Hungarian and Greek. He died on 28.11.2001 in Sofia. He is a member of the Unit of the Bulgarian Writers. He died on 28.11.2001 in Sofia.
