Ethan Mollick earned his PhD and MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and his undergraduate degree from Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
Mollick is an Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, where he studies and teaches innovation and entrepreneurship. His papers have been published in leading management journals and have received numerous awards. His research on crowdfunding is the most cited management paper published in the last five years. He is the co-founder of a startup and currently consults for a range of startups and organizations. As the academic director and co-founder of Wharton Interactive, he works to transform entrepreneurship education through the use of games and simulations. He has a long-standing interest in using games for teaching and is the co-author of a book on the intersection of video games and business, which was named one of the top 10 business books of the year by the American Library Association. He has created numerous educational games used by tens of thousands of students around the world.
