Elisabeth Barille was born in Paris. Her first novel, "Body of a Girl," was released in the mid-1980s, and critics compared her with Collette. She writes essays, novels, travelogues; lives in Amsterdam for 15 years; then travels through India and Russia. Winner of several literary awards.
