This book brings together two of Max Weber's famous lectures given at the University of Munich after the First World War at the end of his life. They deal with politics and science as professional activities and as a personal vocation. He did not become a politician himself, but vacillated between the two fields, devoting himself to the social sciences and the humanities with great passion. Weber is one of the founders of sociology and with all his work belongs to the greatest moderns - Nietzsche, Freud, Marx.
