Dorothee Schmid

Specialist of the EU policies in Mediterranean countries and the Middle-East, Dorothée Schmid is in charge of Ifri's Turkey programme since 2008. Her research focuses on internal political developments in Turkey and Turkish new diplomatic ambitions. She graduated from Sciences Po Paris and earned a doctorate in political sciences from the University of Paris II. Her recent publications include Les Élites françaises et la Turquie : une relation dans l'attente (2010). She directed La Turquie au Moyen-Orient : une puissance régionale ? published at CNRS éditions(2011).
