Alone with the past

Why did a musical virtuoso seek the poetic word? Why did he replace the ethereal lightness of celestial consonances with the rough flesh of rhyme- and rhythm-less stanzas? A constant effort to understand the deep and perhaps inscrutable mystery of life and death, of the way and the goal, of bliss and sorrow, of the past and what is to come - all this prompts Ventceslav Nikolov to briefly put aside the ancient cello and reach for the pen.
