Description

The text of the book The Secret of the Grave of the Moravian Archbishop Methodius" by Prof. Zdeněk Klanica is richly illustrated with over 40 pages of photos. Almost all of them are published for the first time in Bulgarian.

Three years ago, an archaeological excavation in the great early medieval garden near the village of Mikulčice (the medieval Moravian Velehrad) in the Brno district revealed a tomb of a senior cleric. According to the famous Czech archaeologist Prof. Zdeněk Klanica, St. Methodius himself is buried there, and his conclusions have been accepted by a number of authoritative scientists. The news of an important archaeological discovery immediately finds resonance among the Bulgarian community in the Czech Republic. On May 24, 2009, a memorial of the Holy Brothers, commissioned by the gifted sculptor Emil Venkov, was officially erected in Mikulčice.
