The book is an attempt to reconsider the essence of medieval university metaphysics using several examples of the intellectual history of the Western European Middle Ages. Four themes are presented to the attention of the reader as an attempt to describe in a chronological order the effort of medieval authors to form their own metaphysical vision of man, the world, and God through at least three important elements - the ancient philosophical and scientific heritage, the rationalization of world intuition, and transformations in the linguistic and logical space.
These questions, which are related to the clarification of the relationship between philosophy and theology, the meaning of religious truth, or the determination of the subject of metaphysics are to a great extent determined by the discovery of the authentic Aristotelian philosophical and natural-scientific heritage. They determine a desire for universal expression, which collects in the efforts of grammar, logic (philosophy) and metaphysics by organizing a different cognitive scheme, including the study of the three philosophies" - natural, moral and metaphysical."
