It is a pleasure for me to present to you the first book dedicated to the history of Bulgarian military intelligence.
For the past 110 years since its institutionalization in 1908, with the decree of Prince Ferdinand, military intelligence underwent various stages and, despite the challenges, remained a guarantor of our national security.
The edition you hold in your hands is the result of an in-depth study of a team from the Military Academy "G. S. Rakovski" and the Military Information Service, which has processed the archive materials in the last 5 years in an objective and impartial manner.
With the book "History of the Bulgarian Military Intelligence" we pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and independence of our country. Knowing the past well, we sincerely believe that we will have the strength and the boldness in the future to work in the interests of the defense and security of the Republic of Bulgaria.
