Anastas Gerdjikov

Anastas Gerdjikov is Professor of Roman Literature, Doctor of Philological Sciences (Ancient and Medieval Literature). He graduated from Humboldt University, Berlin, specializing in Austria (1994) and Germany (1997). He was Deputy Minister of Education and Science (2001-2003), Manager of the Scientific Research Fund (2008-2009), Deputy Rector of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski "(2010-2011). He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Strategies of Educational and Scientific Policy. His lectures include courses in Latin and authors (oratoric prose, historiography, philosophy) and Roman literature. His scientific interests are in the field of ancient and medieval literature, philosophy and political thought. He is the author of articles in Bulgarian and foreign magazines and collections, four monographs, as well as the first Bulgarian translation of Aristotle's "Politics".
